Melon dealer robbed of P123K in N. Ecija
SAN ANTONIO, Nueva Ecija — A 28-year-old melon fruit dealer was robbed at gunpoint by two motorcycle-riding men who forcibly took her sales collection amounting to P123,000 before fleeing on Saturday here.
Police head Major Abraham Atencio identified the victim as Nina Maniacup, of 14 Purok 1, Bgy. Pangatian, Mexico, Pampanga.
The victim was riding a Mitsubishi Canter van (plate number NGR-556) with her driver Emil Gabalonzo, 29, of Bgy. Amaya 1, Tanza, Cavite, and helper Billy Doneza, 37, of Hulugan 4, Tanza, Cavite during the heist that occurred 10:20 a.m. in Sitio Minanglo, Bgy. San Francisco here.
Atencio said the one of the two suspects, identified as Mike Salvador, of this town, offered to buy P60,000 worth of melons from the victim.
One of the suspects, clad in black jacket, black bull cap and full face mask, fetched the victim near the municipal public market and proceeded towards Sitio Minanglo, San Francisco here to close the deal.
However, upon reaching the place, the two suspects poked their guns at Maniacup and her driver theb declared a heist before grabbing the victims’ sling bag and wallet containing P123,000, pertinent documents and two android phones.
Atencio said they are still investigating the robbery.
