MC driver killed, back rider hurt in Batangas road mishap

A 44-YEAR-OLD driver died and his back rider was severely injured after the former lost control of the their motorcycle and crashed Saturday in Bgy. Bolbok, Batangas.

Batangas City Police Station Chief Lt. Col Salvador E. Solana identified the fatality as Elvin Aclan, single, fisherman and his back rider as Elsa Cordero, 35, unemployed, both single and residents of Sitio Itlugan Bgy. Cuta, Batangas City.

Batangas Medical Center personnel called Batangas City police around 12:55 a.m. informing them two victims of a motorcycle accident admitted at the hospital.

Traffic investigators PSSg Joseph Sulit together with Pat Kevin Carl Del Mundo immediately responded to the call.

Initial investigation showed the Honda Click motorcycle bearing plate number 679 UHU being driven by Aclan was seen traversing the Philippine Port Authority (PPA) road and heading towards Bgy. Bolbok, Batangas City, when the vehicle went out of balance and crashed.

Aclan who sustained grave injuries was declared dead on arrival by attending physician Dr. Garry Macaya while the wounded back rider was being treated.

Aclan’s body was taken to San Fernando Funeral homes in Bgy. Kumintang Ibaba, Batangas City.
