Mayor Tiangco inaugurates 4 public school covered courts
NAVOTAS City Mayor John Rey Tiangco led the inauguration of the newly constructed multi-purpose covered courts in four public schools in the city.
Covered courts in San Roque Elementary School, Bangkulasi Elementary School, Dagat-dagatan Elementary School, and Tangos National High School were inaugurated on March 14 and 15.
“By providing these facilities, we want to encourage our students to engage in various sports and exercise, as well as promote an active and healthy lifestyle,” Tiangco said.
“Learning does not only happen inside the confines of a classroom. We aim for a holistic approach when it comes to the education of Navoteño youth,” he added.
The courts were funded during Tiangco’s term as Congressional representative of Navotas in 2019-2022.
Last year, Navotas also started the construction of four-story buildings in nine public schools.
