Mayor Sara has COVID with mild symptoms
DAVAO City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio tested positive for COVID-19 with mild symptoms.
The Davao City Public Information Office issued the statement on the condition of Mayor Sara after the test result was released on Saturday.
“She has mild symptoms and is in isolation caring for other family members who need medical attention in Davao City,” the statement said.
The family requests for complete privacy at this time and respectfully urge the public to refrain from sending tokens for well wishes.
Meanwhile, the Davao City PIO called on everyone who was close contact with Mayor Sara in the last 14 days to self-monitor for symptoms.
They are also advised to get RT-PCR tested five to seven days from their contact with the mayor.
Weeks ago, Mator Sara’s brother Davao City Representative Paolo Duterte also tested positive for COVID-19.
