CALOOCAN City Mayor Oscar “Oca” Malapitan has endorsed the presidential and vice presidential tandem of former Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte and assured the city’s support to the UniTeam.

Malapitan’s endorsement of the BBM-Sara tandem has the backing and support of Caloocan City residents, who went out of their homes to show their support during the UniTeam’s day-long motorcade in the city that punctuated in a rally Saturday described as one of the biggest in Caloocan’s political history.

In endorsing the BBM-Sara tandem, Malapitan has joined other officials from various political parties who threw their support behind Marcos and Duterte and vowed to work for their victory in the upcoming presidential elections.

The Caloocan City mayor ran under the Nacionalista Party (NP) during the May 2019 elections.

Political leaders and provincials officials in Northern Luzon, including the governors of Isabela, Cagayan, La Union and Pangasinan, who are members and stalwarts of the country’s biggest political parties have earlier endorsed Marcos and Duterte, which assured the two of Solid North’s vote.

“So ngayong araw rin na ito, bilang lider political dito sa lungsod ng Caloocan, sa ating mga Commando, Transformer, Alamat at iba pang mga organisasyon, mamamayan ng caloocan, ating idinedeklara ang pagsuporta kay Bongbong Marcos bilang pangulo at ganun din kay vice president o Mayor Sara Duterte na susunod na vice president ng ating bansa,” Malapitan said during the rally.

The Caloocan City mayor also asked the city residents to vote “straight” for the senatorial lineup of the UniTeam.

“Kagaya sa local, ang hinihingi naming vote straight, kailangan sa mga senador din nila, vote straight rin tayo ha,” Malapitan appealed to his constituents as he thanked them for their support.

The city mayor said the overwhelming support exhibited by the city residents during the motorcade and rally has shown the elections are over.

Sige ho, maraming Salamat. Magandang gabi sa inyong lahat,” Malapitan said.
