Mayor Cayetano leads turnover of P90M worth of vehicles to Taguig police

MARKING her first year in office, Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano led the ceremonial turnover of P90-million worth of vehicles and equipment to the Philippine National Police-Taguig, Bureau of Fire Protection-Taguig, and the City’s barangays on Wednesday afternoon at TLC Park in Lower Bicutan.

Seventy vehicles consisting of mobile patrol vehicles, multi-purpose vehicles, motorcycles, custodial vans, fire trucks, ambulances, and firefighting tricycles were turned over along with equipment consisting of firearms, body cameras, and recording devices.

The vehicles and equipment aim to ensure effective patrols and protection and prompt emergency and disaster responses, further strengthening the day-to-day operations of each beneficiary.

“Lumalaki po ang populasyon ng ating lungsod, at ang development, yung progress po natin, ay hindi nagpapaawat. At sa kaganapan po natin ngayon, pinapasan ko po yung burden ng pagsisiguro na ang lahat ng nagtatrabaho, naninirahan, at lahat ng pumupunta sa lungsod, maramdaman nila na sila ay pumupunta sa lungsod na ligtas, payapa, at maayos,” said Mayor Lani Cayetano during her speech.

Present in the event to show their appreciation and support were PNP Southern Police District (SPD) Director P/BGen. Kirby John Brion Kraft, Taguig Chief of Police P.Col. Robert Baesa, Head of BFP-Taguig Supt. Eddie W. Tanawan, Congressman Ricardo “Ading” Cruz Jr., District I and II City Councilors, Taguig barangay captains and officials from the local police and BFP.
