Mayor Along leads opening of Caloocan Trade Bazaar

CALOOCAN City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan led the opening of the ‘Juanap-buhay’ Caloocan Trade Bazaar as part of the celebration of Caloocan’s 61st Cityhood Anniversary on Tuesday at City Hall Commercial Complex.

The project features products made by persons with disability (PWDs), cooperatives, beneficiaries of livelihood training and local micro businesses and offers free services such as blind massage and pet grooming.

In addition, there shall be acoustic performances and open mic night for everyone to enjoy and is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Mondays to Sundays, from February 6 to 15.

The bazaar is joint-project of the Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO), Public Employment Service Office (PESO), City Economic and Investment Promotion Office (CEIPO), Cooperative Development and Coordinating Office (CDCO), City Veterinary Department (CVD), Internal Audit Services (IAS), Caloocan Anti-Drug Abuse Office (CADAO).

The local chief executive commended each of the stall organizers, citing that he appreciates the effort and that the local government fully supports their economic endeavors.

“Ngayon pa lang po kinikilala ko na po kayo sa inyong pagsisikap bilang maliliit na negosyo. Suportado po kayo ng pamahalaang lungsod sa inyong mga susunod na adhikain, handa po kaming tumulong na i-promote ang inyong mga negosyo,” Mayor Along said.
