Mayor Along leads launching of Kadiwa ng Pasko
CALOOCAN City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan, through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), led the launching of Kadiwa ng Pasko, a joint venture of the Caloocan local government unit and the Department of Agriculture on Wednesday at Caloocan City Hall-North.
Kadiwa ng Pasko is a pop-up market of low-priced goods, produce, leather and other local products which is aligned with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. initiative to establish the said rolling stores in every barangay throughout the country to help local farmers and merchants establish and sell their goods and likewise provide low-priced products for consumers.
According to the local chief executive, the aim of the said project is to provide a platform to Filipino merchants to sell their products, especially during the holiday season.
PESO Officer-in-charge Ms. Violeta Gonzales stated that this project also aims to help residents find alternatives to their necessities in light of the continuous rise of the prices of goods and services.
Among the participating merchants were Mama Agnes Enterprise, Azulis Bag Collections, Ely-Knows Enterprises, Camsi Trading, and SBM Herbal Soap.
Moreover, there will also be a Kadiwa ng Pasko in Caloocan City Hall-South scheduled on Friday, November 25, 2022.
