Massive win for Kaya FC
CAM Rodriguez netted four goals as Kaya FC-Iloilo clinched first place after a massive 15-0 win over Stallion Laguna FC Saturday in the PFF Women’s League 2023 sponsored by Coca-Cola Philippines at the PFF National Training Center in Carmona, Cavite.
Christine Hulleza, Sara Castañeda, Hazel Lustan and Shelah Cadag scored twice while Hali Long, Charisa Lemoran and Lizzie Torre were also on target for Kaya.
Newcomer Manila Digger pulled off a 4-1 victory over Tuloy FC in a late night match.
Kaya ended up level with defending champion Far Eastern University and Manila Digger FC at 22 points for the lead, but coach Let Dimzon secured the No. 1 ranking by virtue of superior goal difference.
Roselle Lecera had a brace while Elna Bongol and Karen Alora were also on target for Digger, who settled for No. 3 as the second-ranked Tamaraws have more goals.
Idle La Salle, which has 19 points, settled for fourth slot.
Tuloy, meanwhile, ended its campaign in fifth place with 15 points.
Stallion finished its season without a win in nine matches.
