Accomplishments boost solon’s rating to 84%

DEPUTY Speaker and two-term Valenzuela City 2nd District Rep. Eric Martinez posted a whopping 84 percent ‘acceptance rating’ in an independent survey conducted last January 2022, further widening his gap to the one challenging him, as compared to same survey done last year.

This was a huge jump from the Valenzuela City 2nd District lawmaker’s August 2021 rating of 73 percent, with his nearest competitor dropping two percent; posting only a 16 percent acceptance rating from the recent poll in contrast to his previous 18 percent.

Local political observers were quick to react and were very much convinced that the latest survey result could be credited to Martinez laudable accomplishments in providing social services, sports, education and healthcare especially amid the COVID-19 crisis.

Likewise, Martinez is being described as very dynamic in health information dissemination nationwide, on top of his significant activity in giving assistance to his constitiuents, actively documented on his official Facebook page.

In less than 12 months, more than 150,000 bags of rice have been distributed by Martinez’ office, particularly to the individuals and families living in his congressional district badly affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

Apart from his long list of achievements, Martinez’ pre-pandemic infrastructure projects tower beyond expectation.

More than 400 classrooms have been built in the last six years, alongside various road networks and 12 world-class basketball courts which are all open to the public free of charge, as part of his strong advocacy on youth and sports development.

In addition to his robust health campaign in the middle of the pandemic, several health care and day care centers have been launched in the same time frame as part of Martinez’ initiative.

Many believe that with Martinez’s great acceptance among the voters of Valenzuela City 2nd District, he is rock solid against his current position, surely unbeatable and not suprisingly will be the runaway victor come May 9, to serve his third and final term.

“Talaga namang maraming nagawa at maraming natulungan si Congressman Eric Martinez lalo nitong panahon ng pandemya. Kaya papaano siya tatalunin ng kalaban niya na magpapakita lang sa mga tao kapag panahon ng eleksyon?,” one of the observers stressed.

It would be recalled that Martinez clobbered and won by a very large margin, an almost 70,000 votes, against his opponent last May 2019.
