Excited na umalis ng bansa ang aktor na si Markki Stroem para makipag-compete sa Miss Universe 2024 na gaganapin sa Dec. 22 sa Avalon Hollywood sa Los Angeles, California.

Sa Instagram ay nagpaalam ang aktor sa kanyang followers at sinabing excited na siya to represent the Philippines sa nasabing prestihiyosong pageant. Kung dati nga raw ay host lang siya ng mga beauty pageant, ngayon ay siya naman ang nasa kabilang side.

“This is the first time I’m actually joining. I am very excited. I’ve learned my lesson throughout the different pageant I hosted, I judged for, the ones that I did an interview, I was conducting it. Now, I will be on the other side,” sey ni Markki sa video na ipinost niya.

Pinaghandaan daw niya talaga ang kumpetisyon at dumaan siya sa training including how to answer questions at the Q&A portion.

Sa caption ay ikinuwento rin ng aktor ang kaunting ‘kapalpakang’ nangyari sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport bago siya umalis.

“Naging amazing race nga!!!! The ticket said Terminal 3, and found out that it was in Terminal 1. We ended up taking motorcycles to avoid the traffic. Alas, I made it to the airport,” pagbabahagi ni Markki.

“One day layover in China, so I will see you guys in a day! When I land in LA. Pilipinas, para sayo to!” pahayag pa ng aktor.

Sa panayam ng ABS-CBN ay ikinuwento ni Markki kung bakit nga ba siya napasali bilang candidate sa Mr. Universe 2024.

“Interestingly, I was appointed by the organization, around this time last year. I have hosted a slew of pageants, judged more than a handful, even provided swimwear for one. I realized I have actually never joined a pageant?” he said.

“So, I decided to give it one last hurrah. Time to see how far experience and a whole lot of passion can take me,” aniya pa.

The Fil-Norwegian actor will vie against 47 candidates mula sa iba’t ibang panig ng mundo.
