Market vendors’ party-list group Sulong Mga Batang Quiapo among top choices in 2025 elections
MARKET vendors’ party—list group Sulong Mga Batang Quiapo landed among the top choices in the latest survey conducted by the customer-centric market research company Tangere.
In the Tangere survey conducted from November 13 to 16, Sulong Mga Batang Quiapo, a first-timer joining the midterm elections in May 2025, was in 20th place with a 1.07 percent voter preference, largely supported by Metro Manila voters.
Tangere’s survey included Sulong Mga Batang Quiapo among the notable party-list newcomers gaining traction.
Sulong Mga Batang Quiapo is also among the 44 party-list groups expected to earn seats in the House of Representatives in the 2025 midterms elections.
The neophyte party-list group is expected to secure one seat based on Tangere’s latest survey.
Sulong Mga Batang Quiapo was organized to promote the welfare and protect the rights of market vendors across the country.
Its program includes providing skills training and legal aid to market vendors to empower them and help them attain socioeconomic security.
“We are very happy that our good work to secure legal and social recognition for market vendors has gained validation, even somewhat of a mandate from the people, as seen in Tangere’s latest survey,” the party-list group said.
“We have been part of all the struggles and successes of market vendors. Given a chance to serve in Congress, we will provide a unified voice for them at the national level.”
