Manila suspends classes at all levels
THE Manila city government yesterday ordered the suspension of classes at all levels, public and private, face to face and online due to heavy rains brought by southwest monsoon enhanced by Super Typhoon Goring.
Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan’s spokesperson Atty. Princess Abante said the suspension of classes at all levels was based on the recommendation of the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO).
Aside from the suspension of classes, work at the Manila City Hall, including its satellite office, was also suspended, except in departments and offices involved in disaster and emergency response.
