BEGINNING today (January 17), the city government of Manila will operate a drive-thru booster vaccination hub for the transport group, particularly drivers of public utility vehicles (PUVs).

Manila Mayor and Aksyon Demokratiko presidential bet Isko Moreno thus called on drivers of public utility jeepneys, tricycles, sidecars, delivery vans, pedicabs and taxi cabs to take advantage of the convenience being offered by the city.

“Pasok ka lang, bakuna, tapos iskyerda na. Dalhin ninyo ang pamilya ninyo tapos uwi na, biyahe na, trabaho na ulit para di masayang ang araw ninyo ng hanapbuhay,” Moreno said.

The said vaccination of PUV drivers, according to Moreno, will be done at the new building of the Ospital ng Maynila (OM) located at the corner of A. Mabini Street and Quirino Avenue, near the Manila Zoo.

Moreno said that at least 1,000 doses have been allotted for the said drive-thru booster vaccination that would be conducted from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

He thanked the doctors at the OM for their eagerness to carry out the said mass booster vaccination for members of transport groups, as well as Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna and Manila Health Department chief Dr.Poks Pangan who are in charge of the city’s mass vaccination program.
