Manila sets up 75 sites for National Vaccination Day

THE city government of Manila is throwing its full support to the call of President Rodrigo Duterte and the Inter-Agency Task Force for intensified mass vaccination efforts by assigning a total of 75 sites in the city that would participate in the three-day National Vaccination Day next week.

Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna and the Manila Health Department headed by its chief, Dr. Poks Pangan will be supervising the national effort to cover the unvaccinated from November 29 to December 1, 2021.

Moreno said he and Lacuna agreed to assign for the purpose 18 community sites (for first and second dose of Pfizer for minors aged 12 to 17 and all brands as well as booster shots for health frontliners, seniors citizens and persons with specific comorbidities); four shopping malls (second dose for eligible minors); six city-run hospitals (first and second dose for eligible minors, first dose for A1 to A5 categories, all brands and booster for A1, A2 and A3, all brands).

Private schools that will be used for the administration of the first dose for the eligible are Manila Cathedral School, Holy Child Catholic School and La Consolacion College, Manila, while 44 health centers will also be spread all throughout the communities in the six districts of Manila.

Moreno said everyone will be jabbed, whether or not they are residents of Manila.
