Manila gets special permit for ‘Bexovid’
MANILA Mayor and Aksyon Demokratiko presidential bet Isko Moreno announced that the city government has succeeded in getting a compassionate special permit (CSP) for the purchase of Bexovid, another life-saving medicine against COVID-19.
Moreno thanked the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the said permit which he said paves the way for the city’s planned purchase of Bexovid.
According to Moreno, it will be the latest addition to the host of other anti-COVID medicines which he and Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna have agreed to purchase for free distribution to COVID patients.
Like Mulnopiravir, Moreno said that Bexovid is also being used for mild to moderate COVID-19 treatment while Tocilizumab, Remdesivir, and Baricitinib are for severe and critical patients infected by the coronavirus.
