Manila assigns exclusive pedia vax sites
PRESIDENTIAL candidate and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno announced that the Manila Health Department (MHD) has launched exclusive school sites for pediatric vaccination against COVID-19 of children aged five to 11.
Moreno said that the decision was made on the recommendation of Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna, who is on top of the city governmentโs mass vaccination program, and also of Dr. Poks Pangan, who heads the MHD.
According to Moreno, the launching of exclusive school sites for pediatric vaccination in the city comes in the heels of the city governmentโs intensification of its inoculation program against COVID-19.
It was learned from Lacuna that the MHD is targeting more than a thousand children to be vaccinated against COVID-19 in the four exclusive school sites in Manila.
The designated sites are as follows: T. Earnshaw Elementary School, with 200 children; Epifanio Delos Santos Elementary School, with 300 children; A. Lacson Elementary School, with 300 children, and Isabelo Delos Reyes Elementary School with 500 children.
