Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — Angeles City cops manning a checkpoint on Monday nabbed a motorist for possession of an unlicensed gun.

In a report to PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Valeriano de Leon, Pampanga police chief Col. Rommel Batangan said Ryan Leonel Pamintuan, of Bgy. Amsic, Angeles City, was riding a motorcycle when flagged down by a checkpoint team of City Mobile Force Company on Sto. Rosario St., Bgy. Sto. Rosario.

Batangan said Angeles Swat force commander Lt. Col. Karen Clark found in the motorbike compartment a .45 caliber pisto. Pamintuan failed to show permit for it.

The suspect was brought to the Police Station 1- ACPO and he will be charged with violation of R.A.10591.

“We have been continuously beefing up our drive to seize loose firearms. May this serve as a stern warning to all especially those who have not yet renewed their licenses or turned over their undocumented firearms at the nearest police station for safekeeping. Stricter penalties are imposed against violators,” said Central Luzon police director De Leon.
