POLICE Regional Office 2 (PRO2) director, Brigadier General Steve B. Ludan yesterday announced the capture of the most wanted person in Zambales during a manhunt operation in Rizal, Cagayan.
The official said the 51-year old suspect is a resident of Botolan, Zambales who is the subject of a warrant of arrest for two counts of rape, rape by sexual assault and two counts of violation of Republic Act 7610 or the Anti-Child Abuse Law.
No bail was recommended for the temporary liberty of the accused who was charged with sexually assaulting his two teenage daughters since 2020.
Brig. Gen. Ludan said they have learned that the sexual assaults took place each time the suspect was drunk.
During those instances, he would repeatedly touch the breast of his daughters before raping them.
Members of the Cagayan and Zambales Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, the Tuao and Rizal Municipal Police Stations, the PRO2 Special Operations Group and the Zambales Police Provincial Office SOG under Colonel Romano V. Cardiño tracked down the suspect in his hiding place in Barangay Sinicking, Rizal with the help of an informant.
The suspect was immediately transported to the Zambales provincial jail after being booked at the Tuao police station, said Ludan.
