Man nabbed for gun, shabu possession

A 35-YEAR-OLD man was nabbed for illegal possession of a gun and shabu during the serving of a search warrant by police operatives Tuesday in Balayan, Batangas.

Balayan Municipal Police Station chief Major Jeffrey M. Dallo identified the suspect as Pampilo Butor, Jr. married, jobless, a native and resident of Bgy. Canda, this town.

Personnel of the PDEU and PIU-BPPO, 1st BPMFC-SWAT, CIDG Batangas and Balayan MPS led by PLt. Rommel P. Magno implemented a search warrant against the suspect for violation of Section 11 and 12, Article 2 of Republic Act 9165 and RA 10591 (Implementation of SW) on August 3 in Bgy. Canda.

The warrant was issued by Vice-Executive Judge Agripino R. Bravo, of the Regional Trial Court Branch 55, in Lucena City, Quezon.

Seized from the suspect was a caliber .38 revolver without serial number loaded with two empty shells and four live ammunition, a black sling bag, black coin purse containing two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu, aluminum foil strips with suspected shabu residue, lighter and 13 pieces of small transparent plastic sachets.

Markings and inventory of the seized pieces of evidence were done in an orderly manner in the presence of the suspect, Lito M. Rendora, media representative, Michael A. Saroca from Department of Justice (DOJ) and Barangay Chairwoman Epifania P. Suba.

The seized items will be brought to the Batangas Provincial Crime Laboratory Office (BPCLO) for examination while the arrested suspect underwent drug testing.
