Man kidnapped in Bataan; Cash reward offered for another missing person

CAMP TOLENTINO, Bataan — An employee was kidnapped Friday morning in Sitio Mamala, Bgy. Saint Francis 1, Limay, while the family of another missing person in Orani town has offered cash reward money in Bgy. Tala.

According to police reports, the victim was identified as Rodrigo Martin, 45, watchman at a slaughterhouse and resident of Sitio Mamala, Bgy. Saint Francis 1, Limay, Bataan.

Police report said while the victim was on his way home from his work at 6:15 am Friday, a white vehicle without plate number stopped in front of him and he was forced inside the vehicle by three men.

The white vehicle has the letters “DOH” in front and has no license plate, said Major Madtaib Jalman, chief of police.

After abducting the victim, the said vehicle headed towards Orion, Bataan direction.

“We are still investigating it,” said Jalman.

The early morning abduction was witnessed by three men.

In a related news, in Bgy. Tala, Orani, Bataan, the family of a missing victim identified as Richard “Richie” Manalo has offered cash reward for information that could lead to the whereabouts of the missing landowner since May 12.

The family offered an initial P50,000 cash reward to anyone who can help locate or solve the case of the missing victim.

Elenita Manalo, mother of the victim, said her son left their house at around 6 a.m. last May 12, purposely to deal his one-hectare lot to a buyer for P1 million but has not returned home since and as of this writing.

The police are still facing a blank wall up to now.

Col. Joel K. Tampis, Bataan police director, assured that they are conducting a thorough investigation on the case that rocked this once peaceful tourist spot.

It was learned that the one-hectare lot of the victim was awarded to him through Bantay Kalikasan ng Tala (BAKATA).
