Camp Quintin Merecido, Buhangin, Davao City — Personnel of the Police Regional Office (PRO) 11 manning a checkpoint in Toril, Davao City confiscated from a man at least P800,000 worth of shabu.

In a report to PRO11 director Benjamin Silo Jr., members of the Toril police together with Task Force Davao Sirawan personnel screening the passengers at a checkpoint in Barangay Sirawan, Toril seized from suspect Hedorick Mulato Aguilon at least 50.04 grams of shabu valued at P800,000.

A police officer manning the Task Force Davao checkpoint asked Aguilon to present his identification card when a small plastic sachet containing shabu fell from his wallet.

This prompted the cops to conduct a body search on Aguilon who yielded a big plastic sachet containing shabu, two cellphones, and cash amounting to P31,680.

Silo said the arrest of Aguilon and seizure of illegal drugs proved that border control is strictly being implemented by the PRO11 together with TFD to curb the possible entry of drugs and other contraband in the Davao region.
