A MAN allegedly beheaded his neighbor following an argument and walked down the road holding the severed head, Tuesday in Tarlac City.

Police identified the suspect as Rommel Apolinario, 42, while the victim was his neighbor Vivencio Colipano, 45, both residents of Paroba 1, Bgy. Tibag, Tarlac City.

Before the gruesome killing, the victim and the suspect allegedly had an argument.

The quarrel led to the throwing of stones until the suspect got a bolo from inside his house and hacked the victim repeatedly.

After the hacking, the suspect beheaded the victim.

Witnesses said Apolinario then carried the victim’s head some 100 meters away from the body and left it on the middle of the road.

Col. Jake Manguerra said.

Manguera said the suspect also attempted to attack responding lawmen, prompting officers to shoot him on the leg.

Apolinario was brought to the Tarlac Provincial Hospital for treatment.
