A 21-YEAR-OLD fisherman was believed to have committed suicide after a fight with his teenage live-in partner Saturday evening in Navotas City.

The fisherman’s body was discovered by his live-in partner, 17, hanging from the ceiling of their house on Judge A. Roldan Everlasting St. Brgy. San Roque at around 9 p.m with a rope looped around his neck and the other end tied to the wooden beam.

The live-in girlfriend, with the help of her family members, immediately cut the rope and rushed the victim to Navotas City Hospital where he was declared dead upon arrival.

In his report to Navotas police chief P/Col. Dexter Ollaging, case investigator P/Cpl. Dandy Sargento said that earlier, the victim and his live-in partner engaged in a heated altercation arising from the alleged vices and bad habits of the fisherman.

The girlfriend told police that she decided to step outside their house so as not to aggravate their quarrel. When she came back, she allegedly discovered her live-in partner hanging lifeless from the ceiling.
