Makati cops nab 5 drug suspects, P4.2M shabu seized
SOUTHERN Police District (SPD) Director P/BGen. Jimili Macaraeg lauded the Makati City Police for arresting five drug suspects and confiscating more than P4 million worth of shabu on Friday evening.
In his report to SPD Director, Makati Police Chief P/Col. Harold Depositar said the buy-bust operation was conducted by operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) at around 8:25 p.m. along Amarillo Street, which resulted in the arrest of five suspects, all residents of Barangay Rizal.
Seized from the suspects were four plastic sachets of shabu weighing more or less 625 grams of shabu valued at P4,250,000, the marked money, one black Nike belt bag, and a black pouch.
The suspects are now under the custody of Makati Police, pending the filing of appropriate charges, while seized illegal drugs were turned over to SPD Forensic Unit for chemical analysis.
“Binabati ko ang Makati City Police sa kanilang matagumpay na operasyon kontra droga, patunay ng inyong dedikasyon sa sinumpaang tungkulin at kagustuhan bigyan ang ating mga kabataan ng kinabukasang malayo sa mapanirang dulot ng illegal na droga,” Macaraeg said.
