MABALACAT CITY – Reelected Mabalacat City Mayor Crisostomo Garbo instructed the city’s medical team and other government employees to look for all senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and solo parents living in the city and have them properly registered to be able to avail of the benefits from the programs of the Mabalacat City government.

Garbo made the instruction in a ceremony at the open ground of city hall a week after the national and local elections.

“Lahat kasama, walang maiiwan.

During the campaign period, Mayor Garbo shared his experience when he noticed that there are still some senior citizens who have not received benefits from the city’s senior citizen program.

Various benefits ranging from social pension to medical assistance for seniors, hospital assistance to employment assistance for PWDs, and educational assistance to financial aid for solo parents have been provided by the Mabalacat City Government under the administration of Mayor Cris Garbo.

However, these are exemptions on who can avail of these benefits. Those senior citizens who are already receiving pensions from GSIS/SSS would not be part of the program, and the data will have regular updating.

The reelected mayor, who is set to continue his second term, was joined by his team, winning with the historic 12-0 result in the recent election. Garbo enjoyed 66,151 votes over his opponent, who only got 21,801 votes. By Bernard Galang
