Ma sells baby on FB for P200,000
‘Buy him or I’ll kill him’
A WOMAN was arrested for allegedly selling her own baby online in Tagum City, Davao del Norte.
Police said the suspect posted on Facebook that her one-year-old baby boy was for sale for P200,000.
An online shopper, who initially ignored the post believing it was only a joke, became concerned when the suspect updated the post, saying she would kill the baby if no one would buy him.
The online shopper sought the help of the police to check on the Facebook post.
Authorities immediately set an entrapment.
The woman was told that there was someone interested to buy the child.
Police went to the suspect’s house and rescued the baby and arrested his biological mother.
When asked why she offered to sell her child, the suspect said she no longer had money to feed her baby.
