LTO extends car reg renewal services

THE Land Transportation Office (LTO) has extended its registration for the renewal of car registration at the Philippine National Police in Camp Crane, Quezon City.

This was announced by Lawyer Clarence V. Guinto, Director of LTO-National Capital Region-West, following the successful the LTO On-Wheels conducted in close coordination with the PNP-Logistic Support Services based in Camp Crame Monday.

Guinto said the operations were conducted by the LTO-NCR-West-Operations Division led by its chief Hanz Lim that resulted in the renewal of the registration of 199 vehicles (58 cars and 61 motorcycles) worth P203,274.39.

The LTO On-Wheels Caravan is the program of LTO with the instruction of Transportation Assistant Secretary and LTO Chief Edgar Galvante to bring closely the services of the agency to the public and to various offices branches and departments of the government, said Guinto.

“Ang program na ito ay bilang assistance sa ating mga PNP personnel. Alam naman natin marami rin silang public services na ginagawa lalo ngayong pandemic, kaya ang agency ay gumagawa rin ng mga program para matulungan ang ating mga kababayan kasama ang ating mga kapwa public servants, said Guinto.

Guinto said the LTO On-Wheels is also an alternative program of the agency to de-clog the volume of transactions in district offices of the agency.

“Lalo na ngayon pandemic talagang programa eto ng agency ang LTO On-Wheels Carvan para sa mas convenient at ma observe ng mahusay ang safety protocol ng Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF),” said Guinto.

Guinto said currently the agency is coordinating with the other government agencies regarding on the LTO On-Wheels Caravan Program.
