DON’T patronize online scammers.

The warning was issued by LTO-Law Enforcement Service (LES) Director lawyer Clarence V. Guinto after personnel of the LTO-Bicol Region and PNP-CyberCrime Bicol arrested another female online scammer offering hassle-free driver’s license processing.

Guinto said the official report submitted by LTO-Bicol identified the suspect as Jessica Pajares, alias Jhie Pajares, of the said region.

The suspect peacefully surrendered to the operative upon learning she was already surrounded by operatives of the LTO and PNP CyberCrime.

Guinto said based on initial investigation, the suspect had been using her Facebook account encouraging innocents victims for a hassle-free processing of driver’s license for a huge fee.

During the operation, LTO and PNP operatives recovered several pieces of evidence including fake official receipts, fake driver’s licenses and marked money.

The suspect is now under the custody of PNP-Naga City for further investigation.

Guinto said the agency would assume that the arrested woman is just a down line in the online scam syndicate marketing strategy.

“These scammers are now using the pyramid marketing style, with down lines,” said Guinto.

Guinto alerted all the Regional District Directors of the agency nationwide to make ecessary measures to eradicate such illegal online activities.

“Inuulit ko faked po ang lahat ng mga driver’s license galing sa mga online scammers,” said Guinto.
