A 63-YEAR-OLD man was shot dead after joking about feeding ‘kare-kare’ to his dog.
A CCTV footage led to the arrest of the suspect, identified as Enrique Calila, 55, who shot and killed victim Arsenio Dela Cruz.
The incident took place at around 3 p.m. on Tuesday when the victim and suspect, both ‘calesa’ drivers, happened to be in the same area near the home of Dela Cruz.
The victim was said to have joked to his lady friend who was also there that he will look for ‘kare-kare’’ so he can feed his dog.
The suspect said: ‘Ano, kare-kare, papakain mo sa aso lang?’” to which the victim replied by saying his dog is ‘ choosy’ when it comes to food.
This apparently irked the suspect and an argument ensued, until the suspect took out a gun and shot the victim at close range, killing him instantly.
