Lolo beheaded by cousin in La Union
A 64-YEAR-OLD man on Saturday was beheaded by his own cousin in San Fernando, La Union.
The San Fernando City Police Station identified the victim as Beinvenido Bautista, 64, of Bgy. Pagdalagan Norte, San Fernando City.
The suspect was Bautista’s cousin, Eduardo Marso, a neighbor of the victim.
The victim was in his house cooking when the suspect, who was armed with a jungle bolo, arrived and without a word hacked Bautista repeatedly and chopped his head off.
According to the victim’s son, Marso also tried to hack him but he was able to run away and sought help.
Responding lawmen arrested Marso and authorities are eyeing an old grudge as the motive for the gruesome murder.
Police said the suspect was out on parole for the same offense 10 years ago.
Marso is being held at the San Fernando City Police Station detention facility facing murder raps.
