Lolo, 70, arrested for 6 counts of rape
A 70-YEAR-OLD farmer wanted for six counts of rape was arrested by Paete police Sunday in Paete, Laguna.
Police Provincial Director PCol. Rogarth Campo reported to CALABARZON Regional Director PBGen. Eliseo DC Cruz that the suspect, identified as Benjamin Purio, of Palatino St., Bgy. 5 Ilaya del Sur Paete, Laguna. was nabbed in Bgy. 8 Sitio Bangko, Bangkusay, Paete.
The suspect was the No. 1 most wanted person in the region. He was arrested on the strength of a warrant of arrest for six counts of rape issued by RTC Branch 33 Judge Marlyn M Reyes-Agama.
The suspect was not given the privilege to post bail and is temporarily under the custody of Paete police.
