SAN ANTONIO, Nueva Ecija — A jobless sexagenarian was rushed to the hospital after he fainted when anti-narcotics operatives nabbed him during a buy-bust operation here on Saturday.

Police head Major Roderick N. Corpuz identified the hospitalized suspect as David Ortiz Jr., 63, alias Bubuli, of Purok 1, Bgy. Julo, this town.

“High blood po, matanda na kasi, pusher pa e,” Corpuz said when asked why the suspect fainted.

Corpuz said his men conducted the buy-bust operation against the suspect in Bgy. Lawang Kupang at 5:35 p.m.

However, after consummating the sale of P2,000 worth of shabu and during his arrest, the suspect passed out, prompting lawmen to rush him to the rural health center here.

The suspect was transferred to the Good Samaritan Hospital in Gapan City for treatment.

“May naka-detail na pulis sa kanya sa ospital, considered arrested ang status niya. Pag naka-recover na siya sa high blood at nag-advice ang doctor na pwede na, saka siya i-inquest sa piskalya,” the police chief told this reporter in a text message Sunday.

Also seized was the suspect’s green Toyota Corolla sedan (TAJ-857) said to be used in the illicit operation, said Corpuz.
