Live-in partners shot dead by son-in-law in Cavite
A MAN and his live-in partner were shot dead by their son-in-law in Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, Cavite.
Victims Nelie Pareja, 57, and her live-in-partner Rogelio Borlagdan, 44, of Bgy. Castaños Cerca, Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, died on the spot.
An investigation showed the victims were about to sleep at 11:20 p.m. on February 10 when the suspect, a kagawad, suddenly arrived.
The suspect confronted his father-in-law for allegedly molesting his eight-year-old daughter.
A heated argument ensued until the suspect pulled out a gun and shot Cerca.
Pareja, who was pacifying the suspect and his partner, was also shot.
Police arrested the suspect in a follow-up operation.
Charges for two counts of murder, violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act and violation of the Omnibus Election Code on gun ban were filed against the suspect.
