Live-in partners, brothers nabbed in QC drug sting

Operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of the Holy Spirit Police Station (PS 14) confiscated P102,000 worth of shabu from live-in partners and brothers during a buy-bust operation on Thursday in Bgy. Culiat, Quezon City.

PLtCol Jeffrey Bilaro, the Station Commander of PS 14, identified the live-in partners as Rafael Garcia, 29, and Janine Bianca Napile, 29, both residents of M. Castro, Bgy. Tandang Sora, Quezon City; while the brothers were identified as John Anthony Dia, 25, and Justine Angelo Dia, 24, both residents of No. 20 Mercury St., Zytec Riosa Compound, Bgy. Pasong Tamo, Quezon City.

SDEU of PS 14 conducted a buy-bust at about 6:40 p.m. last June 17, along Tandang Sora Ave., Bgy. Culiat, Quezon City.

An undercover cop posed as poseur buyer and bought P3,300 worth of shabu from Garcia, who came along with his cohorts. At the given pre-arranged signal, they were arrested.

Seized from the suspects were more or less 15 grams of shabu valued at P102,000, a caliber .38 revolver with three live ammunition and the buy-bust money.

Garcia and Napile were reportedly included in the BADAC drug watch list of Bgy. Tandang Sora while the Dia brothers were included in the BADAC watch list of Bgy. Pasong Tamo.

The suspects will be charged for violation of RA 9165 (The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and RA 10951 (Illegal Possession of Firearms and Ammunition) will be filed against Garcia.
