LICAB, Nueva Ecija — Two live-in partners with outstanding arrest warrants for two counts of qualified rape on Saturday were arrested during the implementation of the “Oplan: Charlie Manhunt “operations of the local police.

Town police head Maj. Melchor Pereja identified those two arrested as Jayson Corpuz, a 37-year-old vendor, and Anna Marie Laudencio, 38, both of Bgy. Poblacion Sur, this municipality.

The two were arrested by virtue of separate arrest warrants for two counts of qualified rape issued by Guimba Regional Trial Court presiding judge Leo Cecilio Bautista on Dec. 27, 2021, with no bail recommended.

According to reports, the alleged victim was a close kin of the two suspects.

However, police authorities did not confirm or deny this. They also refused to give other details of the rape case due to its sensitive nature.

“Arrest warrant na lang kasi ang dumating dito sa amin,” Pat. Rodolfo told the Journal Group.

Pereja said the two arrested suspects are now locked up at separate police detention cells in this town.
