‘Let’s have sex, I’ll delete your sex video’

A 28-YEAR-OLD man who allegedly demanded sex from his ex-girlfriend in exchange for the deletion of her sex videos was arrested by agents of the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG) in an entrapment operation in a hotel in Cubao, Quezon City on Wednesday afternoon.

Renato Labayo Jr., a resident of Bautista Street, Pansol Proper, Q.C. was placed under arrest during the sting inside the Sogo Hotel located along Aurora Boulevard in Cubao around 1:20 p.m. Wednesday, said PNP-ACG director, Brigadier General Robert T. Rodriguez.

Rodriguez said the entrapment operation was triggered by a complaint from the suspect’s ex-girlfriend, Rodriguez told PNP chief, General Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar.

The woman told PNP-ACG investigators that the suspect, using his Facebook account ‘Teo Mat’ demanded to meet her in the Cubao hotel in exchange for the deletion of her sex videos.

Now being held at Camp Crame, the suspect will be charged for grave coercion, violation of the anti-women and children abuse law and Republic Act 101775 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.

Rodriguez also reported the arrest of three other online predators in separate operations in the countryside on Tuesday.

One of the suspects identified as Aldrin Dale Pingol,23, a resident of Jacinto Street in Canalate, Malolos City in Bulacan was arrested in an entrapment operation inside the St. Paul Subdivision in the same area 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. The suspect was accused of demanding money and threatening to spread the sensitive photos of the woman via internet if she won’t heed his monetary demand.

Rodriguez said the sting was conducted following a complaint from a 22-year old female local resident. The suspect is now facing criminal charges for grave coercion, robbery-extortion in relation to RA 10175, violation of RA 9995 or the Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009 and RA 9262 or the Violence against Women and their Children Act.

The 2nd identified as Marilyn Binarao,26, a resident of Cataggamman Pardo, Tuguegarao City was arrested while claiming the money sent her by the complainant in a Palawan Express establishment in Rizal Street, Centro 4 around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

It turned out that the suspect is involved in the so-called ‘online love scam’ and managed to dupe the victim into sending her money.

The 3rd identified as Edward Duque,31, a college student from San Ildefonso, Bulacan was arrested on charges of swindling/estafa and using fictitious name and concealing true name to defraud his victim.

Rodriguez said that the suspect was arrested in a sting inside a Smart Padala outlet in Cruz na Daan, San Rafael, Bulacan 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. The suspect’s younger brother is still being hunted for the same offense.

It turned out that the suspects used the name ‘Alliah Alliah’ in their online sale of gadgets.

The official said that the 34-year old complainant, a woman from Bacoor City in Cavite ordered an Iphone Promax 12 from the suspects and deposited P24,000 to the Metrobank account of Duque.

However, the woman was told by the suspect that there was a problem in the processing of her order and she needs additional money.

The complainant said she gave the suspect a total of P185,000.

Rodriguez said that the suspect was arrested while claiming the money sent by the woman.
