LENI PASAY RALLY DISMAL, LEAVES THOUSANDS of furious Pasay City residents took to social media to denounce the apparent lack of concern for cleanliness and the environment of Leni Robredo’s supporters after leaving behind tons of garbage in the aftermath of their musical rally along Diosdado Macapagal Avenue in Pasay City Saturday evening.

What was initially intended to be a show of force by the roughly 18% Robredo minions, as aptly put by SWS, turned out to be an environmental nightmare that didn’t suit well with the local officials and their constituents.

“Akala ko ba sila iyong matitino at disente? Eh sila pala ang baboy at walang pakialam sa kaayusan at kalinisan ng lugar,” @Zaira Bernabe said in her post.

“Palibhasa mga plastik! Kaya sandamakmak na plastic at basura ang iniwan ng mga dilawan na iyan sa lugar namin,” added Bam Rodriguez of Malibay.

As if to rub salt, Robredo supporters posted several pictures showing their abandoned rubbish on MMDA’s official Facebook page.

“Ngayon umaga ay nagsasagawa ng clean-up operations ang mga kawani ng MMDA sa bahagi ng D. Macapagal Ave., sa Pasay. Tulong-tulong sila sa pagwawalis at paghahakot ng mga basura sa nasabing lugar,” MMDA said in its post.

Pasay City residents, already agitated by the apparent lack of civility, expressed their discontent while reminding their fellow netizens that the Pinklawans had been bashing the MMDA prior to their rally after the agency agreed to close the stretch of Macapagal Avenue in conformity with the request of rally organizers.

Earlier, MMDA officials took flak from Leni’s supporters for deciding to close Macapagal Avenue that caused massive traffic in the area.

“At least consistent ang pinklawan. Todo bash sa MMDA before rally, ang ending sila maglilinis sa kalat niyo,” @John Robert on Facebook.

“The so called educated as they proclaimed themselves nagkalat ng basura sa Pasay,” @Abian Ascura Belz posted on her Facebook.

The same incident occurred in the aftermath of Robredo’s CEBOOM! Grand People’s Rally at the North Reclamation Area in Mandaue City last April 22, 2022, which unfortunately coincided with the celebration of Earth Day.

Mandaue local officials said that Robredo’s supporters left at least four tons of garbage at the scene.

A Pinklawan supporter even had the temerity to berate the Cebuanos on social media “for complaining about the trash they left behind.”

“Linisin nyo yan mga tamad para may pakinabang naman ang bayan sa inyo. Magra-rally kami kung saan at kelan namin gusto at linisin nyo ang kalat namin,” @PinayPinkYellow said, rather grudgingly.

However, her rant did not suit well for a lot of individuals who noticed that the Pinklawans seem to have a pattern of deliberately leaving their garbage behind every time they hold their rallies.

“Sosyal, may taga-linis ang mga matapobre. Ganyan ang klase ng pamamahala ang gusto niyo? Walang disiplina at malasakit sa kapaligiran. Maraming salamat MMDA,” @N-ghel Castillo said.
