LAS Piñas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar announced that the city government had reached 45,000 registrants for the vaccination of the general public pediatric population aged 12 to 17 years old.

Mayor Aguilar said parents and guardian warmly accepted the call of the city government in registering their children to be vaccinated against COVID-19. She said the city government has recorded a total of 45,000 registrants out of the 65,000 targeted to be inoculated with COVID-19 vaccines for them to be protected from the virus as part of the city government’s “Bakunahan sa Kabataan” program.

The Mayor and Vice Mayor April Aguilar usually conduct visits at the seven identified vaccination sites in the city to give the children as well as their parents the confidence on the importance of getting the jabs against the dreaded virus.

Mayor Aguilar told residents that the city government had three ways to register their children ages 12 to 17 years old through DEPED registration, barangay extended assistance and the online registration via https://bit.ly/e-covid19reg.

The city chief executive said since the city government started its vaccination roll out for the general pediatric population last Oct. 22,2021 the record shows that the eagerness of the youths to get vaccinated is still getting higher.

Mayor Aguilar likewise came out with a reminder to parents or guardians that once their children suffer any side effect after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, just scan the QR code which was posted at the Las Piñas City government Facebook page and answer the questions indicated therein.
