Las Piñas holds health, wellness caravan
THE Las Piñas City Health and Wellness Caravan, organized by the City Health Office, provided essential healthcare services to nearly 750 residents of Barangay Manuyo Dos, which highlighted the local government’s ongoing efforts to expand access to health resources across communities, at the Madre Covered Court.
During the caravan, attendees received free medical consultations, blood pressure and blood sugar screenings, dental services, and essential medicines. Senior citizens were prioritized with pneumonia vaccinations, while PhilHealth registration and Green Card program assistance were also offered.
City Vice Mayor April Aguilar led the initiative, joined by Alelee Aguilar and City Councilor Mark Anthony Santos. The City Health Office team, under the guidance of Dr. Juliana Gonzalez, coordinated the event to ensure efficient service delivery.
Dr. Gonzalez underscored the significance of preventive healthcare and early intervention in maintaining community health, stressing that initiatives like the caravan align with the city’s goal of making healthcare more accessible to vulnerable populations.
