Lalamove driver, 5 others arrested for drugs in QC

ANTI-NARCOTICS operatives of the Quezon Police District (QCPD) arrested six drug suspects and confiscated P224,400 worth of shabu in two buy-bust operations in Quezon City.

PLt.Col. Joewie Lucas, PS 5 commander, identified the suspects as Willy Santos, Lalamove driver; Nico John Mark Santos, 27; both residents of Pugong Ginto St., Brgy. Sta. Monica, Quezon City; Kristina Casssandra Santiano, 18, resident of Luisito St., Brgy. Gulod, Novaliches, Quezon City; and Reyslie Marie Baier, 18, a resident of San Ignacia St., Brgy. Gulod, Novaliches, Quezon City.

A report showed that PS 5 personnel received information regarding the alleged rampant selling of illegal drugs by Santos which was further validated by a series of Intelligence gatherings and case build-up.

At about 12:15 a.m. of November 3, 2021, on Camaro St., Brgy. Greater Fairview, Quezon City, a buy-bust was conducted against Santos who came along with his cohorts. A poseur buyer bought P9,500 worth of shabu from them, hence their arrest.

Confiscated were more or less 15 grams of shabu valued at P102,000, a cellular phone, and the buy-bust money.

Meanwhile, two suspects were arrested in another buy-bust operation conducted by the PS 11 at about 10:55 p.m. of November 2, 2021 on 144 Bayani St., Brgy. Doña Imelda, Quezon City.

PLt.Col. Von June Nuyda, PS 11 commander, identified the suspects as Ritchel Garcia, 32, resident of k-3rd St., Brgy. Kamuning Quezon City, and Joel Laguitan, 28, resident of G. Araneta Ave., Brgy. Tatalon, Quezon City. Confiscated were 11 sachets of shabu amounting to P122,400, a cellular phone, and the buy-bust money.

The suspects will be charged with violation of R.A. 9165 (The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
