Laguna police nab 21 drug suspects

KAMPO HENERAL PACIANO RIZAL – The Laguna Police conducted a province-wide anti-illegal drug operation that arrested 21 drug suspects. Also seized were 7.19 grams of shabu valued at P49,361, including 1 gram of marijuana worth P5,000 and some firearms.

In Siniloan, Laguna, under Chief of Police P/Major Silver Cabanillas, they captured a suspect in Bgy. Macatad for loose firearms after a search warrant was issued and signed by Presiding Judge Marlyn M. Reyes Agama of Regional Trial Court (RTC), Fourth Judicial Region, Branch 33, dated June 9, 2022.

Before the search, the suspect voluntarily surrendered two plastic sachets of shabu.

Police recovered one cal. 38 revolver with inserted five pieces of live ammunition inside the plastic drawer in his room.

In Alaminos, Laguna, a suspect was arrested in Bgy. San Juan, Alaminos, after selling illegal drugs to a poseur buyer in exchange for P500.

Alaminos police confiscated the buy-bust money, P200 drug money, three plastic sachets of shabu with a total estimated amount of P4,000, and one cal. 45 pistol colt with one magazine and four live ammunition.

While in San Pedro City, Laguna, another suspect was collared for loose firearms by virtue of a search warrant issued by Judge Glenda R Mendoza Ramos, Executive Judge RTC Br. 36, 4th Judicial Region, City of Calamba Laguna, dated June 7, 2022.

Confiscated from the suspect was one cal. 38 revolver without the serial number, loaded with six live ammunition; one black pouch ammunition containing six pieces cal. .38 ammunition, and one mini box containing illegal drug paraphernalia.

In Calamba City, two drug suspects were arrested in Purok 4, Bgy. Palingon, Calamba City, sold illegal drugs to a poseur buyer in exchange for P500.

Confiscated were six plastic sachets of shabu weighing 1.2 grams with an estimated value of P8,160, suspected drug money, and recovered buy-bust money.

In Santa Cruz, Laguna, a fisherman from Bgy. Gatid was arrested after selling illegal drugs to a poseur buyer in exchange for P500.

Four plastic sachets of shabu with a street value of P10,200, a coin purse, and recovered buy-bust money were seized from the suspect.

Also, anti-illegal drugs operations were conducted by the city and municipal stations of Biñan, Nagcarlan, Famy, Kalayaan, Bay, San Pablo, Sta Maria, Pagsanjan, Los Baños, and Liliw resulted in successful operations.

The arrested suspects are now in the custody of the police stations and will be charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, while other suspects will be facing charges for possessing illegal firearms and ammunition.
