Laguna cops nab trike driver for P85K shabu

THREE men involved in illegal drugs were nabbed by the Drugs Enforcement Team (DET) in three separate anti-illegal operations in Laguna on Friday.

Laguna Police acting Provincial Director PCol. Rogarth Campo reported to Calabarzon Regional Director PBGen. Antonio Yarra the arrested suspect identified as Mark Olvido, 32, tricycle driver, of Bgy. Duhat, Sta. Cruz, Laguna.

The suspect was nabbed when he sold illegal drugs to an undercover police officer in exchange for P500.

A preventive search led to the confiscation of five plastic sachets of shabu with more or less 12.5 grams and a street value of P85,000 and recovered buy-bust money.

In another buy-bust operation of Calamba City Police under the direct supervision of the chief of police PLt. Col. Arnel Pagulayan, arrested Armando Aragon Mokong, 24, and Conrado Sanghel, 51, construction worker, both of Bgy. 2, who sold drugs to a police officer who acted as poseur buyer in exchange of P500 marked money.

Confiscated from the suspects were 4 plastic sachets of shabu estimated to be 2 grams with a value of P13,600, a coin purse with P250 drug money, and recovered marked money.

The arrested suspects will be charged for violation of R.A 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 while the seized pieces of evidence will be submitted to the Crime Laboratory Office for forensic examination.
