ONCE done with her required remaining medications, Manila Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna said she will resume with her home vaccination of the bedridden and physically-challenged who cannot make it to the vaccination sites.

Lacuna said she will, as usual, take all the necessary precautions to avoid getting infected again.

Before being admitted to the Sta. Ana Hospital under the care of hospital director Dr. Grace Padilla, Lacuna had been personally going house-to-house to vaccinate residents who are bedridden or wheelchair-bound and those who are handicapped and therefore cannot physically make it to the designated vaccination hubs to avail of the free vaccine.

Following her discharge on Tuesday, Lacuna was advised by Padilla to go on a weeklong home quarantine while completing her remaining oral medication and 21 days of treatment.

It was learned that she had pneumonia and was given aggressive treatment due to her lab results. She was also on dextrose and was injected with medicines that include anti-inflammatory which had to be administered for 10 days.

Lacuna said Mayor Isko Moreno remains confined after getting admitted on Sunday upon receiving his positive COVID test.

The vice mayor said that she will also continue discharging her duties as Presiding Officer of the Manila City Council and head of the city government’s health cluster. The six city hospitals fall under her direct supervision.

She is also on top of the city’s mass vaccination program, along with Manila Health Department chief Dr. Poks Pangan.

Meanwhile, Pangan said all necessary contact tracing had been done so that all those who have had possible exposure to Moreno and Lacuna were told to undertake the necessary swab tests.
