SENATOR Panfilo Lacson on Saturday gave assurance to his friends that he will not have any hard feelings if they would not join his campaign for the 2022 elections.

As he considers running for president next year, Lacson said he believes that this would even strengthen their friendship.

“The 2022 campaign won’t change anything between us and our personal friends who are not joining our team. No hard feelings. Everything is fair in anyone’s choice of leaders,” Lacson said in his tweets.

“This is all temporary. We will come out of this exercise stronger in bond and closer in friendship,” he added.

Lacson, together with Senate President Vicente ‘Tito’ Sotto III, has been meeting local government officials and political groups as part of their consultations for the upcoming polls.

Sotto, who currently leads the Nationalist People’s Coalition, said his party may be willing to campaign for Lacson, an independent, as their standard bearer.

The two are expected to announce their decision on August 5.
