Laborer nabbed for theft
A 26-YEAR-OLD construction worker was arrested for theft on Maundy Thursday by police in Bgy. San Jose, Sta Cruz, Laguna.
Acting Provincial Director, Police Colonel Cecilio Ramos Ison Jr. reported to CALABARZON Regional Director, PBGen. Antonio Yarra, the arrest of Wincen Narvaja, of Sitio Matahimik, Bgy. Duhat, in this town.
The Santa Cruz Police Station under the supervision of Police Lieutenant Colonel Paterno L Domondon Jr., Chief of Police,
said that at about 11:55 a.m. the victim identified as Dexter Alagon Tobias,resident of Brgy. San Jose, Sta. Cruz Laguna, reported the said alleged theft.
Investigation disclosed that at around 10:00 a.m. in Sitio Ilang-ilang, Bgy. San Jose, the suspect entered at the rented house of the victim and stole a Toshiba laptop worth P18, 000, grinder worth P3, 200, drill worth P1, 900, cordless drill worth P4, 300, extension cord worth P300 and a Casio watch worth P1, 200.
“I commend the personnel of Santa Cruz MPS for their immediate action taken to conduct a follow-up operation to arrest the suspect for the said theft. Asahan po ng ating mga mamamayan dito sa CALABARZON na ang ating mga kapulisan ay laging handa upang pigilan at mabigyang hustisya ang biktima ng kriminalidad,” said Yarra.
