Laborer collared in Pasig drug sting

PASIG Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) nabbed an alleged drug suspect during a buy-bust operation on Tuesday.

Pasig Police Chief Police Col. Celerino Sacro Jr. said the drug suspect was a construction worker and a resident of Barangay Napindan, Taguig City.

The SDEU conducted the buy-bust along Bgy. Pinagbuhatan at around 2:30 a.m. (December 13) which led to the arrest of the suspect.

Confiscated from the suspect were four plastic sachets containing shabu with a street value of P34,000 and buy-bust money.

The suspect will be facing violation of Sections 5 and 11 Art. II of RA (Republic Act) 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

Meanwhile, Pasig Police also nabbed a wanted person identified as one alias “Karlo,” a helper and a resident of Bgy. Buting, Pasig City.

He was arrested based on a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Emilio Ramos Gonzales III, Presiding Judge of Metropolitan Trial Court, Branch 154 of Pasig City, for acts of lasciviousness (RPC Art. 336) dated December 12, 2022 with recommended bail of P108,000 (3 counts).

Teams of Warrant and Subpoena Section nabbed the wanted suspect along E. Mendoza Street, Ilaya, Bgy. Buting, Pasig City at around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Sacro commended his men for their unwavering efforts and commitment to combat all types of criminality through intensified anti-illegal drugs and manhunt operations against wanted persons in the city.

He also directed his men not to let go of their guards, especially in the upcoming holiday season.
