Labor Day celebration sa QC tagumpay — Medina

QUEZON City Police District (QCPD) Director, PBGen. Remus B. Medina said the Labor Day celebration that coincided with the Duterte Legacy Caravan was successfully conducted on Sunday at the People Power Monument, along Epifanio De Los Santos Avenue corner White Plains Avenue, Barangay Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.

A total of 1,500 personnel were deployed augmented by different agencies and force multipliers while more or less 12,000 Lingkod Bayan Advocacy Groups or supporters joined the said activity.

The culminating activity waa the ‘Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan with the theme, ‘Pagkakaisa ng Mamamayan at Pamahalaan Tungo sa Pagbangon, Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran.’

Present during the event were Undersecretary Jonathan E Malaya, Undersecretary Lorraine Marie T. Badoy, Defense Secretary Delfin Lorensana, PNP chief Police General Dionardo B Carlos, Undersecretary Jose Joel Sy-EGCO Executive Director, President Task Force on Media Security, and representatives of the Lingkod Bayan Advocacy Support Group, Global Peace Community Relations Local and International Help Desk, Magdalena Mission Alagang Ate, KKDAT – Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo, Joint Industrial Peace Concerns Office Alliance for Industrial Peace, KALIGKASAN- Kaligtasan Kalikasan, Foreign National Keepers Network, Barangay Based Groups, Kaibigang LGBTQ, NCITAC- National Coalition of IT Advocates for Change, faith-based groups and force multipliers.

“Sa ating QCPD personnel, iba pang ahensya ng gobyerno, mga stakeholder at force multipliers, nais kong ibigay ang aking taos-pusong pasasalamat para sa isang matagumpay at mapayapang aktibidad na ito ang Labor Day kasabay ng Duterte Legacy,” ani Medina.
