KSK Farmers’ Markets: Fresh local produce @ Affordable prices
Not only is SM Foundation’s Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan Sustainable Agriculture Program helping small vegetable farmers become agri-entrepreneurs, it is also ensuring customers at SM Markets get the best and freshest local farm produce at affordable prices. For 2022, KSK Farmers’ Market booths in various SM Malls will sell agricultural produce of KSK graduates.
According to SMFI AVP Cristie Angeles, this is the Foundation’s support to the graduates even after completing the training. Many SM Malls hold the Farmers’ Market every Friday. Others have allotted two days every week.
Holding Farmers’ Market creates economic opportunities for the graduates by linking them to local markets. Among the SM Malls that host Farmers’ Markets are those in Nueva Ecija, Olongapo, Pampanga, Tarlac, and in Metro Manila.
