JUSTIN Brownlee proved unstoppable with a triple double of 23 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists as Barangay Ginebra demolished Terrafima, 111-90, in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Brownlee, the hero in Ginebra’s come-from-behind 103-97 victory over erstwhile unbeaten Magnolia last Oct. 23, was again the man of the hour for Ginebra against Terrafima.

He went 9-of-15 from the floor, including 3-of-7 from the rainbow territory, to lead the scoring parade for the Gin Kings of coach Tim Cone.

But it was not all Brownlee.

Five other Ginebra players scored in double figures, with Christian Standhardinger (19), Japeth Aguilar (13) Scottie Thompson (12), Jamie Malonzo ( 11) and Jeremiah Grey ( 10) stepping up.

“I’ve long been coaching in the league, You don’t take anything for granted. I know if you take things for granted, you get burned,” said Cone after the game.

Eric Camson had 21 points and Joshua Munzon added 16 points for Terrafirma, which went down to its seventh straight setback.

Overall, the Dyip suffered their 18th setback overall in the season and 23rd in a row dating back to the 2021 campaign.

Terrafirma import Lester Prosper managed seven points on 3-of-8 shooting and eight rebounds in 20 minutes of action.

Ginebra will return to the floor against sisterteam San Miguel Beer at the Araneta Coliseum on Nov. 6.

Terrafima will play a day ealier — Nov.5 — against TNT Tropang Giga at the Ynares Center on Antipolo City.

Meanwhile, the PBA decided to call off its games on Saturday at the Ynares Center in Antipolo as severe weather, road and traffic conditions may be unsafe and undesirable for our fans and players due to the effects of tropical storm Paeng.

Further announcements will be made as appropriate regarding the games on Sunday, according to the PBA in a statement.

Tickets purchased online will be automatically refunded to the original purchaser’s credit/debit card used upon purchase within 7-14 banking days.
